Messages can show up in many different ways and they are really all around us all the time if we care to look for them. Just because we receive a message doesn’t mean we have to follow it nor does it mean that it resonates with us. However, if you get a message, and it does resonate with you, AND you choose to ignore it or simply not apply it, what happens is on you.
It’s like someone letting you know there is dog crap on the ground ahead; there are options for how you can handle this information. You can keep an eye out for that crap that should be showing up soon so you can avoid it. You can make sure you step in it if you want to mess up the shoes you have on or collect some if you are working on an experiment that needs dog poop. You can also disregard the warning and hope for the best. Maybe you will see it anyway and avoid it or maybe you will forget and step right in it cursing yourself for not paying more attention.
Ultimately, if you are given a heads up or a warning of what is to come, that is a gift to be honored. And sometimes we knowing or unknowingly squander our gifts. Fortunately, every day is a new opportunity to try again. To honor our gifts for what they truly are. I implore you to take that opportunity, and as I share that message with you I share it with myself.
